Message from The Chairman
Well 2011 is almost over, where has the year gone eh. They say the years go quicker
as you get older, I will be ancient at this rate!!
Seriously though looking back
over the year one of the highlights is the special SR Anniversary event we organised
for 01st April. It was a phenomenal success, probably the best we have ever done,
and to get over 80 people at Val Taro's after all these years is truly remarkable.
All the hard work we put into this event really paid off, once again we thank you
very much for your support. We may well do something similar in the future but not
at the moment. As I’m sure you can imagine an event on this scale takes a lot of
organising, & also if you do it too often it loses its momentum.
Thanks to all of
you who came along to Val Taro's last Friday for our Christmas get together, it was
really good to see a couple of people who we haven't seen for quite a while, namely
Isy McCrossan & also Mirla Meerschwam. I can't remember the last time I saw Mirla
in fact she was in good form & looked really well.
Ok in closing I would like to
wish you all & your families a very Merry Christmas & all good wishes for 2012.
